My First Day In UTP

After 4 hours journey from my hometown, finally I reached a place which was totally unfamiliar for me -- Tronoh. You must be wondering why I came here. Actually today is the registration day for new students in Universiti Teknologi Petronas and I couldn't believe that I was one of the them.Like they say 'seeing is believing' , my first impression on UTP can be expressed by a word 'spectacular'. We were mesmerised by iconic building of library which is well known as Information Resource Centre (IRC). My first activity was lining up and preparing the required documents before filling forms to be submitted. Truth be told, I couldn't even delay for seconds, rushing here and there like a frantic person searching for something lost. Luckily, I managed to meet my friend and needless to say we registered for the same room in Village 6.The cleaning up of room was done perfectly by my mum and sister. Satisfied with the condition of room, my parents reminded me of some steps to maintain the cleanliness of room. Next, we headed for a briefing session in Chansellor Hall. It was news to us that UTP is ranked top among the universities in Malaysia in the field of engineering. As expected, UTP was equipped with high-classed facilities much to the delight of students, I couldn’t wait to utilise all of them.At about 1p.m, the difficult moment arrived. It's time to bid goodbye to my family. My feeling was beyond description. Should i be happy or sad? This question constantly plagued my mind, question I had no answer to. But for sure, I'm ready to face new challenges in UTP and I knew that I had to look forward and be optimistic if I ever hope to start a new and memoriable journey in UTP.
